Rahel brings a deep compassion for her students with a warm engaging teaching style accessible to students of all ages and abilities. When asked to say one thing about why she teaches yoga, Rahel says, “I would like to give people the opportunity to quiet their mind and find a deeper sense of union in themselves.”
Rahel has been practicing and studying Iyengar yoga since 1993. She completed her first teacher-training certificate in 2003 under the tutelage of Peentz Dubble and Patricia Walden. In 2015, she completed the rigorous Iyengar yoga teacher certification and in October 2019 achieved the Intermediate Junior I level. An avid student of yoga philosophy, Rahel continues to study yoga sutras and incorporates their many lessons into her classes.
Periodic yoga philosophy discussions. A trained anthropologist and PhD, Rahel was born in France and has spent many years as a teacher, researcher, curriculum designer and program evaluator at the university level.
