Liz has been practicing yoga for most of her life; she was introduced to yoga and meditation when she was six years old, by her sister who had just returned home from the Peace Corps. Flash forward to her 20’s, Liz enrolled in yoga classes at the San Francisco YMCA and she’s been practicing ever since.
Students will find that Liz’s teaching style is grounded in alignment principles from Iyengar Yoga with an instructional style of Vinyasa flow yoga that is accessible to all while weaving in concepts of yoga philosophy and poetry.
Liz is a 500 hour Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher (RYT-500) having completed a 200 hour YogaWorks training and a 300 hour training at Down Under Yoga with Natasha Rizopoulos. Liz completed a two year Heart of Iyengar Yoga training with Iyengar Yoga teacher Peentz Dubble. Liz also completed a Relax and Renew training with Judith Hanson Lasater. Liz continues regular studies with Jarvis Chen and Manju Vachar.
Outside of teaching yoga and running Artemis Yoga, Liz has worked many years in marketing and holds a degree from Boston College and an MBA from UCLA. She enjoys hiking and travelling with her two daughters and husband.
