As a practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy with a strong background in kinesiology, anatomy and biomechanics, Lisa enjoys the practice of yoga for its benefits of the mindful study of self and movement. Lisa knows first-hand how a lack of mindfulness and the fast pace of life can not only cause emotional stress and physical injury, but can also prevent healing.
Applying her physical therapy lens to her yoga teaching, Lisa instructs with a clear knowledge of anatomy and an appreciation for the individual students’ needs. She is known for her ability to guide students to draw a meaningful connection from the yoga to their own bodies, and harmonizes movement and stillness in her classes to balance the body and mind.
In addition to holding a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Lisa has completed her 200 hour YogaWorks teacher certification as well as a 300 hour Advanced Teacher Certification.
