Family Yoga – 2026 Dates
January 17, February 28, March 28, April 25
led by Tara Rachel Jones
Your family will love exploring yoga together. Family Yoga is a wonderful afternoon class that is both an energetic and a calming opportunity to promote family wellness and to deepen the bond between you and your child. Please choose the class that is suitable for the age of your child.
Ages 4-6
Children have great imaginative capacity and enjoy becoming part of nature. Yoga practice is a way of playing together and exploring movement, relaxation, breath, and silence in a fun and creative way. Through story, song, and verse in content with the season of the year, families learn the practice of yoga in this child- centered class.
Ages 7-10
The teachings of yoga offer techniques for exploring the world. Our family yoga classes present a consistent series of traditional yogic postures with Sanskrit names and yoga games to explore flexibility, encourage imagination, stimulate inner curiosity and diversity through listening to multicultural stories that convey ancient wisdom. Families will learn mindful breathing, meditation and close the practice with guided relaxation.
