Kim Adrian discovered yoga twenty-five years ago, while struggling with a bad case of the blues. Yoga asana felt almost like magic—the way it left her feeling both more grounded physically and, at the same time, lighter in spirit.
Her goal as a yoga teacher is to help others enjoy these same benefits. Kim’s approach to teaching asana is alignment-oriented, but she also strives to illuminate the workings of the subtle body (the complex flow of creative energy hidden within the physical body).
Her classes encourage curiosity, honesty, and experimentation. Kim’s yoga journey includes a long infatuation with Vinyasa style yoga, a decade of early morning Ashtanga practice, ongoing explorations in Kundalini, and a deep dive into Iyengar Yoga.
Kim received both her 200-hour and 300-hour yoga training from the Down Under School of Yoga.
Off the mat, Kim is a writer whose books include a memoir and two works of criticism. The mother of two grown children, she now showers her affection on a slinky little housecat named Atticus.
