Stefan took his first yoga class on a whim as a way to spend a Saturday morning in Brooklyn and was immediately drawn to the practice for its blend of physical exercise and meditation. Within a year of regular practice he began to scratch beneath the surface and attended yoga philosophy workshops and completed a 200 hour teacher training from the Tao Center in Malaga, Spain.
Stefan began teaching in 2014 in a high school program where he was able to explore teaching many modalities of yoga (Yin, Restorative, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Nidra) while he continued his education in workshops with the Fluid School of Yoga, South Boston Yoga, and The Boston Yoga School. In 2018-2019 Stefan completed his advanced teacher training in a 500 hour program with JP Centre Yoga and The Boston Yoga School.
Students can expect Stefan’s classes to integrate breathwork with posture and meditation in stillness and in motion. True to his roots and interests, his teaching is simple and foundational. Stefan’s classes are often aimed at exploring movement groups, such as backbends and spinal rotations. Every class includes a combination of intelligently sequenced vinyasa flows, hatha postures, pranayama and meditation.
