Marysia Gensler is a Certified Level 2 Iyengar yoga teacher, having received her certification through extensive training and mentorship under renowned teachers Patricia Walden and Peentz Dubble.
Marysia’s yoga journey began at 18, driven by a desire for spiritual growth, physical fitness, and community. Early on, she noticed students struggling with stiffness and restrictions in their bodies, which led her to explore Iyengar Yoga. She realized that props, which provide support and ease in movement, were the missing element for those students.
Since 1981, Marysia has worked alongside her husband, a chiropractor, combining yoga and chiropractic care to enhance spinal alignment and health. Her practice and experience in both fields inform her approach to helping students improve body function and maintain spinal integrity. In recent years, Marysia has expanded her teaching to include teaching Chair Yoga to seniors, a rewarding experience that continually deepens her own practice and understanding.
Marysia views teaching as a form of practice and remains a dedicated student. Students will learn the foundations of Iyengar Yoga practice while realizing the benefits to their physical and mental wellbeing.
